ABOUT THIS TUTORIAL

This tutorial will help you learn to find and critically evaluate information sources. By increasing your information literacy skills, you can more effectively search, select, and evaluate those sources. This tutorial will prepare you to explore and research the online world.

The banner which appears at the top of all the screens in the tutorial will return you to the UNBLILT main menu. No special login is required to follow the tutorial.

System Requirements

An Internet connection and a web browser are the only requirements in order to follow UNBLILT. More detail on system requirements is available from the Get Ready page.

Organization of UNBLILT

UNBLILT is comprised of six modules. Each one takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. Each module includes:

  • a list of key concepts and skills you should learn
  • main text
  • a quiz

UNBLILT will help you find what you need in the library and on the world wide web with more accuracy. The skills you learn will save you time and will help you get better grades.

UNBLILT also will help you find and critically evaluate the information you need in the wider world, for business, leisure or personal interest.
